COURSE OVERVIEW
This course provides participants with basic principles of health and safety in the construction industry. It also gives Information about preventing workplace injury and illness, workplace injury management and workers compensation.
This Course aimed at all new workers carrying-out construction work Including:
• Self-employed persons
• Laborers
• Apprentices
• Trainees
• Trades-persons
• Supervisors and project managers
COURSE STRUCTURE
The course duration is 6.5 hours which involves lectures, group discussions and assessment at the end of the course, allow for course duration to be extended if required.
Training methods place an emphasis on group discussion, group exercises and the interaction of course participants
UNITS OF COMPETENCY
After successful completion participants will receive Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment.
